Together for Education is seeking volunteers to assist with the Together Fair at Kennett HighSchool on Saturday June 1^st, 2013. Volunteers are needed for any amount of time between 8:00am and 4:00pm to assist with setting up, running, and cleaning  up after fair games and activities. Interested volunteers should contact Ms. Jennifer Lewis via email at jlewis@tfed.org or call her at 484-990-0718. This even presents a great opportunity to earn community service hours for the KHS graduation project and help our community.

 

Better Than Oprah celebrates reading with May Madness. We will meet twice in May. The first session will be on Monday, May 13^th when we will discuss John Green’s An Abundance of Katherines. On Friday May 17^th we’ll be joining Peters Township HS outside of Pittsburgh via Skype to talk about Jennifer Brown’s provocative book, Hate List. Sign up in the library.

 

Have you lost your glasses? If so, please stop by the nurse’s office to see if they have been turned in.

Soccer players: Your team rosters for the 3 vs. 3 tournament are due to Mr. O’Sullivan in room 355 by Friday May 17^th. If you wear the jerseys and shoes and think you are good. The Together Fair 3 vs 3 tournament on Saturday June 1^st is the time to prove it! Girls teams needed. Forms are still available.

 

Attention Guitar Clubbers: Plan to attend this week’s meeting in order to help plan and prepare for Friday’s outdoor unplugged event.

 

Attention all Boys Tennis Team members: Please bring ten dollars in an envelope to the main office for the coach’s gift. Do not forget to write your name on the envelope. Please bring it before Friday May 17^th. Also, the Boys Tennis Team party will be held on Sunday, May 19^th at the tennis courts. Please come ready to play tennis. Food and drinks will be served.

 

Tie Dye Club will be having their last meeting on Wednesday, May 22nds. Bring your white cotton items to room 109 at 2:45.

 

There are two remaining tumbling classes on May 15^th and May 22^nd from 4-5. If you are not signed up, please register on Wednesday, May 15^th. See Mrs. Nelms as soon as possible if this presents a problem for you.

 

This is a reminder that tickets for the Hermanitas Dance will be sold during all four lunches tomorrow and for the rest of the week. Tickets are $8.00.

 

Glow tickets go on sale today during all lunches. Tickets are $5 at lunch or $7 at the door.

 

The library will close today for lunch during period 6.

 

The library will be open after school until 3:15pm.

 

The Humanitarian Club will meet next Thursday during Advisory in the library.
