Business/Marketing/Communications
Lauren
Lauren (Student Innovator 1) is interested in a career in business and marketing and is currently considering colleges such as University of South Carolina, Florida State, Tennessee, Alabama, and Clemson. Her strengths include public speaking, being a hard worker, and being dedicated to her work.
This year, she seeks to grow by strengthening her leadership skills. She is especially excited to work with business and community partners to strengthen her skills while enhancing their social media presence, branding, and external communications.
As a KFR student she is partnering with a peer to create a student-run enterprise and will be working with the United Way of Southern Chester County to support their marketing efforts. Thank you to Darcie Martin and the entire team at United Way of Southern Chester County for supporting our students.
Rhyan
Rhyan (Student Innovator 2) is interested in a career in communications/advisement and is currently considering colleges such as Clemson, Penn State, University of Delaware, Elon, University of South Carolina, Syracuse, and Auburn. Her strengths include teamwork, communication, and being passionate.
This year, she seeks to grow by working on her ability to be adaptable and solve complex problems. She is especially excited to work with business and community partners to strengthen her skills while enhancing their social media presence, branding, and external communications.

Ella (Student Innovator 7) is interested in a career in journalism or communications and is currently considering colleges such Liberty University, Grove City College, Cedarville University, the University of Delaware, and West Chester University.
Her strengths include being determined, having integrity, and effective communication skills. This year, she seeks to grow by strengthening her confidence with public speaking and interpersonal skills. She is passionate about equality and improving the learning experiences for all students at Kennett High School.
As a Kennett Future Ready student, she is excited to learn new skills and in a real-world setting through her internship with Square Roots Collective. Thank you to Kymm Bontrager and the team at Square Roots Collective, as well as, LaNisha Cassel free and the Voices Underground team for providing this opportunity!
Marley
Marley (Student Innovator 8) is interested in a career in communications, specifically, journalism and is currently considering colleges such Temple and the University of Pittsburgh. Her strengths include being kind, being adaptable, and able to solve complex problems.
This year, she seeks to grow by strengthening her public speaking skills. She is looking forward to supporting her peers by improving the overall school experience for everyone.
As a Kennett Future Ready student, she is excited to create, develop, and implement a Kennett High School podcast. This student would benefit from a capstone coach who has experience with podcasting and/or communications.
Andrew
Andrew (Student Innovator 14) is interested in a career in business and finance and is currently considering colleges such as University of Pennsylvania, Penn State University, St. Joseph, West Chester University and Villanova.
His strengths include being adaptable, effective communication skills, and critical thinking skills. This year, he seeks to grow by strengthening his leadership skills. He is especially excited to contribute to a project that benefits the community.

Sam*
Sam (Student Innovator 19) is interested in a career in psychology and is currently considering West Chester University. Her strengths include being charismatic and innovative. This year, she seeks to grow by working on her leadership skills.
As a Kennett Future Ready student, she is excited to work with her classmate on developing an online school store for art students to sell their ceramic creations.
Additionally, from a leadership perspective, she is eager to work with her classmates to develop strategies that will improve the well being of all students. Thank you to Lisa Palmarini, Director of Communication at Kennett Consolidated School District for being this student’s capstone coach.
Sam
Sam (Student Innovator 21) is interested in a career in business and finance, and is currently considering colleges such as Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, St. Joseph's, and the University of Delaware.
His strengths include being charismatic, having integrity, and strong communication skills. This year, he seeks to grow by improving his public speaking and strengthening his leadership skills. He is especially excited to work on a project that improves the overall overall morale, accountability, and responsibility of students at Kennett High School.

Derek
Derek (Student Innovator 24) is interested in pursuing a career in supply chain management and is currently exploring colleges such as Bucknell, Clemson, the University of Maryland, Michigan State University, and Penn State.
His strengths include empathy, strong communication skills, and the ability to make quick, effective decisions. This year, he aims to grow by improving his time management and becoming more actively engaged in school-wide issues and concerns.

Rolando
Rolando (Student Innovator 23) is interested in a career in construction. He is currently considering Brigham Young University. His strengths include being accountable, having a growth mindset, and being able to communicate effectively.
This year, the student seeks to grow by improving his critical thinking skills, setting measurable goals, and strengthening his overall leadership skills. He is especially excited to contribute to a project focused on strengthening student voice and improving overall student and adult communication.
As a Kennett Future Ready student, he is eager for an opportunity to participate in an internship where he can learn more about the construction industry. Please consider hosting this future student intern.
Medical
Ian
Ian (Student Innovator 4) is interested in a career as a Physician Assistant, (PA) and is currently considering colleges such as Duquesne, Temple, Pittsburgh, and Drexel University. His strengths include being positive and having excellent communication skills.
This year, he seeks to grow by gaining real-world opportunities to learn more about the medical industry and how technology supports doctors and nurses. He writes, “my goal is to produce a comprehensive research paper or presentation summarizing key findings on AI advancements in emergency medicine, highlighting areas of promise as well as challenges to implementation.”
As a student leader he is excited to improve the overall school experience for his peers by addressing concerns such as the late policy, disciplinary practices, and student parking challenges. This student would benefit from a capstone coach who currently works in the medical and/or AI field.
Sandra
Sandra (Student Innovator 18) is interested in a career in pediatrics and is currently considering colleges such as University of Pittsburgh, Thomas Jefferson University, and Northeastern.
Her strengths include being responsible, hardworking, and dedicated to her work. This year, she seeks to grow by improving her time management skills. She is especially excited to contribute to a project focused on medical innovation in partnership with clinics.

Sarah
Sarah (Student Innovator 6) is considering a career in environmental science, policy, or music and is currently considering colleges Penn State University, American, and the University of Massachusetts. Her strengths include being a strong communicator, the ability to debate different positions and views, and having integrity.
This year, she seeks to grow her ability to think outside of the box, collaborate with others, and being creativity. She is especially excited to serve in the Kennett community to provide new experiences for other students, bring joy to others, and expand resource accessibility for those in need.
She is also passionate about ensuring students have a voice in school decision making, and access to mental health supports. Providing these types of supports could be a potential capstone project. This student would benefit from a capstone coach who currently works as a mental health provider.
Political Science/Civic Leadership
Caitlin
Caitlin (Student Innovator 3) is considering careers in the social sciences to include public policy, political science, psychology and sociology and is currently considering colleges such as Georgetown University, American University, Cornell, Boston College, and others.
Her strengths include being self confident, having strong interpersonal skills, and having diverse experiences. This year, she seeks to grow by strengthening her ability to lead others, specifically, creating strong and effective teams. She is looking forward to supporting eco-friendly projects that raise awareness for both students and the community.
As a Kennett Future Ready student, she is excited to participate in an internship with a local government agency potentially with New Garden Township or the Mayor’s office. Please consider hosting this student as an intern in your organization.
Education
Stella*
Stella (Student Innovator 5) is interested in a in early childhood education and is currently committed to attending the University of Delaware. Her strengths include being hard-working, being organized, and the ability to communicate effectively.
This year, SI5 seeks to grow by working on her leadership and communication skills that will ultimately make her a more prepared and diverse educator. She is especially excited to participate in an internship at Greenwood Elementary, as well as, support projects that positively impact the community.

Information Technology/Computer Science
Mark
Mark (Student Innovator 9) is interested in a career in computer science. His strengths include problem solving, time management, and technology skills.
He is committed to learning, open to feedback, and ready to take on new challenges that will help further his growth as both a student and a future computer programmer.
As a Kennett Future Ready student, he is extremely eager to participate in an internship opportunity that will allow him to gain valuable real-world learning experiences in the information technology industry. Please consider hosting this student as an intern in your organization.
Dana
Dana (Student Innovator 10) is interested in a career in musical theatre and computer science. Her strengths include being determined, passionate, and having creativity.
This year, she seeks to grow by working on her teamwork and collaboration skills. She is especially excited to contribute to a project focused on game development or computer science. She writes, “ I am also thinking of starting a program that would teach elementary students how to create their own games.”
This student would benefit from a capstone coach who works in the computer programming and/or information technology industry.
Arjay
Arjay (Student Innovator 11) is interested in a career in data analytics and/or computer science and is currently considering colleges such as University of Pittsburgh, Penn State University, Temple and Drexel Universities. His strengths include being hard-working, motivated, and team oriented.
This year, he seeks to grow by working on his organizational and leadership skills. He is especially excited to contribute to a project focused on benefiting the community while improving the lives of others.
As a Kennett Future Ready student, he is interested in earning an industry certification, as well as, participating in an internship to enhance his computer science and engineering knowledge. This student would benefit from a partner that is willing to support an internship in either engineering or information technology industries. John
John (Student Innovator 12) is interested in a career in computer science. He is currently considering colleges such the University of Tennessee, San Diego State University, and Colorado State University. His strengths include being confident, having the ability to delegate responsibilities, and being a strong decision maker.
This year, he seeks to grow by increasing his leadership opportunities and strengthening his overall leadership skills. He is especially excited to lead a project that improves students' sense of belonging.
As a KFR student, he is interested in earning an industry certification in Python or other programming language. This student would benefit by having a capstone coach who currently works in the information technology industry.
Bella
Bella (Student Innovator 20) is interested in a career in software engineering and computer science, and is currently considering colleges such as Drexel, Utah, MIT, Miami, and Carnegie Melon. Her strengths include having empathy, strong communication skills, and problem solving.
This year, she seeks to grow by improving her public speaking skills and strengthening her leadership skills. She is especially excited to contribute to a project focused on innovation such as a marketing redesign for Unionville Cemetery in which she gets to redesign their website and their marketing collateral. She is also committed to ensuring all students are valued and respected at Kennett High School.
As a KFR student, she will be working with Corrado Construction this summer on a marketing project. We are very grateful to our friends at Corrado Construction for providing this opportunity.
Cole
Cole (Student Innovator 22) is interested in a career in computer science or information technology and is currently considering schools such as Penn State and the University of Pittsburgh. His strengths include being dependable, organized, and good listener.
This year, he seeks to grow by improving his public speaking, strengthening his leadership skills, and developing his ability to resolve and mediate conflicts while fostering positive group dynamics.

Engineering/Architecture/Design
Jocelyn
Jocelyn (Student Innovator 13) is interested in a career in architecture and interior architecture and is currently considering colleges such as Temple, Drexel, University of Pittsburgh, and Penn State. Her strengths include being organized, being responsible and having accountability.
This year, she seeks to grow by working on her communication skills. As a school leader, she is especially excited to contribute to a project focused on broadening school offerings for students.

Ethan
Ethan (Student Innovator 16) is interested in a career in aerospace engineering and is currently considering Drexel, Purdue, and Penn State University. His strengths include being dedicated, having creativity, and working effectively as a member of a team.
This year, he seeks to grow by strengthening his leadership and organizational skills. He is especially excited to contribute to a project focused on improving the school and community.

Quinlan
Quinlan (Student Innovator 17) is interested in a career in civil engineering and is currently considering York College, Elizabethtown, and Widener University. His strengths include being a hard worker, maintaining a positive demeanor, and being diplomatic.
This year, he seeks to grow by strengthening his communication skills, as well as, being more open to new ideas and concepts. He is especially excited to contribute to a project focused on improving the overall school experience for his peers by addressing issues such as the late policy, school discipline practices, and student parking.

Henry
Henry (Student Innovator 25) is considering a career engineering, computer science, music, or language. He is currently considering colleges such as Lehigh, Dickinson, Penn State, and the University of Delaware. His strengths include being adaptable, being compassionate, and being honest and trustworthy.
This year, he seeks to grow by strengthening his self confidence, communication skills, and leadership development. As a KFR student, he is excited to develop independent learning projects.
As a student leader, he is interested in researching potential light pollution considerations in and around the community. Please consider supporting his research on potential light pollution and possible solutions in our community.
Penelope
Penelope (Student Innovator 26) is considering a career in engineering, art, or marketing and is currently considering colleges such as University of Penn, West Chester and Penn State University. Her strengths include being open minded, personable, and able to communicate effectively.
This year, she seeks to grow by strengthening her time management skills. She is excited for the opportunity to participate in an opportunity where she could learn more about architectural engineering.

James
James (Student Innovator 15) is interested in a career in Environmental Engineering and is currently considering colleges such as University of Delaware, Penn State, University of Pittsburgh, and Virginia Tech. His strengths include communication, problem-solving, and collaboration.
This year, he seeks to grow by strengthening his initiative and time management skills. He is especially excited to contribute to a project focused on improving water quality.

Health and Fitness
Brady
Brady (Student Innovator 27) is interested in a career in chemical engineering and is currently considering colleges such as the University of Texas, Ole Miss, North Carolina State, Clemson, Auburn, and the University of Tennessee. His strengths include problem-solving, integrity, and effective communication.
This year, he is focused on developing his leadership skills. While his academic interests lie in chemical engineering, Brady is also passionate about health and wellness and is eager to support others in leading healthier lives.
As a student leader, he is particularly excited to research and enhance extracurricular opportunities for students at Kennett High School. Please consider hosting Brady as a health and wellness intern—his dedication and enthusiasm make him a strong candidate for this role.
