Athletics

KCSD student-athletes perform in the classroom and on our state-of-the-art fields. Kennett High School (KHS) boasts two dozen Ches Mont League American Division teams alone. We’re competitive in postseason play and in climbing to the collegiate level– whether NCAA Division I, II or III. Kennett Middle School programs serve as a pipeline for those determined to be Blue Demons. Our community is also home to ample youth leagues for our youngest players. At KCSD, athletics are generously supported by the Kennett Area Booster Club (KABC), a 501(c)(3). 

For Athletes

In order to participate (including try-outs) in any sport at Kennett High School,  athletes must have a completed PIAA CIPPE form (Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation) finalized as directed under the Physicals section below.

Participation fee must also be paid at the Hometown ticketing site before the first day of tryouts/practice for a particular sport.  Refer to the information under Participation Fee below.

For Fans

Kennett High School looks forward to welcoming fans!

All K-12 students are expected to be in the stands for all athletic contests. 

In addition: 

  • Possession or use of alcoholic beverages, tobacco or other drugs is prohibited on campus.

  • Admission to a game may be granted through the start of the second half. Admission to evening athletic events is $5 for adults and $3 for students.

  • All tickets must now be purchased online

  • Guests are not permitted to bring the following items into our stadiums or gymnasiums: Large bags, outside food or beverage, signs, noise makers, body or face paint and sports equipment.

  • Dogs and other pets must also be left at home. 

  • Shirts must be worn.

  • Failure to adhere to the KHS Code of Conduct could result in removal from the contest. 

Finally, PIAA, District One, the Ches-Mont League and KCSD have all made a commitment to promote good sportsmanship among student-athletes, coaches and spectators. We appreciate your continued cooperation by supporting our participants and officials in a positive manner. Profanity, derogatory comments or intimidating actions directed at officials, student-athletes, coaches or team representatives will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from our events.
