Team quiz bowl competition. Practices begin in September and one match a month from October through January. Grades 9-12 can participate.

Students meet to build a network of like minded earth enthusiasts. Students participate in tree plantings, natural space clean ups, invasive species removals, local hikes and the annual Brandywine Polar Plunge. Students are encouraged to bring other activities to the attention of the group.

Students evaluate/discuss pieces of creative writing submitted by members of the student body. Selected pieces end up in a magazine-style publication in the spring.

The Finance Club helps students to gain insight and experience into the world of finance. We discuss different types of investments, ways to begin saving and investing money, the importance of networking, and pursuing careers in finance.

FCA is a interdenominational Christian sports ministry that focuses on serving local communities around the globe by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire and change the world through the gospel.

The Feminist Club explores issues in feminism and promotion of equality. Activities include Coffee House for Equality, a tampon drive, Womens History Month education, Spirit Week and various fundraising.

Officers are elected in September of their freshman year and are responsible for fundraising to raise money for their prom. Traditionally, we run 2 fundraisers throughout the year.

Future Business Leaders of America prepares students for careers in business or who are just simply interested in learning more about the field of business. FBLA helps students develop leadership abilities, and prepare for entry into, and advancement within, a business or business-related occupation. There are close to 100 different business-related events such as Accounting, Marketing, Business Law, Economics, Management, Entrepreneurship, Public Speaking, etc. which our members may complete in against other schools at the regional, state and national levels. Through our "Businesspersons Speaker Series" members gain the opportunity to meet and converse with many local entrepreneurs and businesspersons.

A student-run club which provides a safe place for students to meet, support each other, talk about issues related to orientation and gender identity and expression.

Students enjoy watching and discussing anime films, and learning about anime, manga, and Japanese culture. A trip to Japan in the future could be planned for members.

The Hermanitas is a program that provides Latinas/os with educational and skill-building opportunities, leadership development, mentoring and peer support. The program is designed with cultural competence and addresses the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of Latinx youth. The goals of the program is to help the students adopt healthy living strategies and approaches; and to develop leadership qualities, skills, and abilities. The program also promotes cultural identity, respect, pride and multicultural awareness and proactive community involvement.

Provide opportunities for community service and knowledge about efforts both local, national, and international, that seek to better our planet.

To advance international and domestic human rights through spreading awareness, fundraising, etc.

Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people. It gives young people, mainly high school students, an opportunity to participate in fun and meaningful service projects.

Officers are elected at the beginning of junior year. JCO is a year long committment. Officers plan and execute Prom and Homecoming Dances. Additional activities include the Dodgeball tournament, Cancer/Class Homecoming T-Shirt sales, restaurant nights and other activities that raise funds to reduce the cost of prom. Junior assist with graduation and senior dinner dance. Meeting times vary by activity.

Students produce the morning TV news program and learn to work with studio equipment.

For students of the Latin program to plan social events, trips, and anything else of their interest tangentially related to Latin. The club is here to support any Latin student in planning for a trip to Italy and Greece, a school project, or studying for the NLE & AP. Classic movie nights, large Saturnalian celebrations, and reading of ancient literature are staple events.

Performs at numerous Kennett events throughout the school year.

For students interested in pursuing the medical field upon graduation. Various speakers from all areas of medicine speak to the club about their challenges, education and life as a doctor, nurse, physical therapist, etc. Club also does volunteer service for different causes.

Mini-THON is the largest activity sponsored by the KHS Humanitarian Club, it is an official part of Penn State Dance Marathon (THON). THON is the largest student-run philanthropy organization in the world, with all proceeds going to help fight pediatric cancer at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

The Pennsylvania Bar Association Mock Trial Tournament givesour Mock Trial members the opportunity to act as lawyers and witnesses in simulated civil and criminal trial before actual judges and panels of juries. Local lawyers volunteer to assist students as team advisors. The Mock Trial Tournament is held in mid February.

Model United Nations is an academic club that competes 5-8 times a year against local and regional schools. Delegates (students), role play as members of delegations from countries and debate real-world issues in UN committees. We also practice public speaking skills and flow of debate after school 1-2 times a month to prepare for conference competitions. Grades 9-12 can participate.

Inspires kids to become lifelong readers. The purpose of this event is to encourage children to read more than they currently do, to read a greater variety of books, and to enjoy the excitement of reading and talking about books. The team format encourages students to share the challenge of reading the selection of books with their friends.

Students participate in the FRC division of FIRST Robotics as we desigh, develop and test a robot to compete in each season's challenge. All 9th-12th grade students are invited to join, regardless of their skills or interests. A wide variety of jobs exist within the team. We typically meet once or twice a month during the fall and then 4-5 times a week (after school) during the build season, which runs from early January through mid-March. We then participate in up to four competitions, which are held on weekends throughout the region. At the end of the season, we elect officers (Pres, VP and Secretary) for the coming year.

Students who are part of the SADD Club engage in activities aimed at educating themselves and others in a myriad of areas such as alcohol and drug awareness. The Annual SADD car show , winter coat drive and Kacie's Kloset are a few of the activities the club presents.

Officers are elected by their peers at the end of their Junior year or at the beginning of their Senior year.The SCO is a year-long commitment. The offices include Persident, VP, Treasurer, Secretary and Historian. As school leaders your responsibilities include Senior activities such as (but are not limited to) fundraising promotions, participation in homecoming activities, chalk your spot, sunrise breakfast, lunch on the lawn, holiday tree with ornaments, assisting with prom, class trip, graduation gowns, Senior Dinner Dance, and graduation.

SWENext is a high school engineering club sponsored by SWE (Society of Women Engineers). The club engages in activities that promate student understanding of engineering and science careers. The club has engineers share their experiences in college and industry, members promote opportunity for females in engineering by volunteering at District and community events.

Officers are elected at the end of their freshman year or the first weeks of sophomore year. Officers are responsible for organizing fundraisers for their class's junior prom. Our fundraisers include but are not limited to: hosting the Powderpuff Football Game, Badminton/Pickleball Tournaments, DoubleGood popcorn sale, and restaurant nights. Sophomore officers also create a float for the Homecoming parade, assist the junior class with Homecoming dance set up/clean up, and play an integral role in helping the junior officers on Prom day/night.

Sound, lights, and stage crew for theatre productions in spring and fall.

Student Council is the liasion between the students and faculty/administration. Representatives attend and report on school board meetings, PTSO, club council and principal's round table. Students help produce the Homecoming court, spirit week, pep rally and dance. They also assist with the Homecoming, the activities fair, We Are Kennett, and teacher appreciation week.

The goal of the council is to educate our student body about equity and diversity and to provide opportunities to bring about positive change in our school related to these topics.

This club was designed to encourage interaction amongst our full student body via collaborative activities. The pillars of Food, Friends and Fun attract open minded pupils who are interested in expanding their acquaintances and possibly developing new friendships. It is a low stress club with no dues or requirements for members. Officers arrange monthly activities. Meetings begin with sharing food/snacks, followed by introductions and then dividing the group up into teams where they can work together with new faces.

Students play Ultimate Frisbee after school. No experience necessary. Any student who is interested in playing or learning to play is welcome to participate. For the first half of practice we run drills to improve skills. Second half of practice is spent scrimmaging.

The purpose of the organization will be to spread awareness, educate, and provide support for woman who are diagnosed with breast and/or ovarian cancer. As an extension of the Unite for HER non-profit, the UFH club at the high school will organize events throughout the year, including “pink games” during each athletic season, with the goal of raising funds that enable Unite for HER to continue with their program while also providing support for someone within our community who has been diagnosed with breast and/or ovarian cancer.

Students explore, discuss and play boardgames and video games on various gaming consoles. The club supports D&D campaigns and video game servers with a small library of board games. Some days are devoted to learning a new game or to sponsoring gaming tournaments. Also, trips to gaming conventions are being planned.
