Principal’s Message -11/8

Happy Monday KHS Families!

The first week of November has concluded, and we are now only 2 school days away from the end of the first marking period. Please continue to encourage your child(ren) to connect with their teachers for support to ensure they finish the quarter on a positive note.

Here are a few quick updates:

  1. Thanksgiving Break is scheduled for students Wednesday, November 24th through Friday, November 26th. This break is a day longer than it typically has been in the past. We are looking forward to our students and their families getting time to spend with each other over this holiday, and we are encouraging our students to completely disconnect from school during this time. It is important for our students to be fully present with their families, so they can be rested and recharged upon their return on the 29th.
  2. The second marking period will begin on November 10th and will conclude on January 24th. There will be no midterm exams this school year. All students will be required to complete a cumulative final exam for all of their courses in June.
  3. Our next KHS PTSO Meeting (virtual) is scheduled for Monday, November 22nd at 6:00 PM. In this meeting, we will begin discussing course selection for next school year, in addition to providing updates on our Career Pathways program. We hope you can join us!

Have a wonderful week!

Sincerely,

Jeremy Hritz, Ed.D.
